Former San Francisco Giants GM Brian Sabean Lists His Arizona Home for $5.75M

Three-time World Series-winning general manager Brian Sabean is cutting one of his final ties to the San Francisco Giants. He’s selling his $5.75 million luxury home in Scottsdale, AZ—the desert town the Giants call their spring-training home.

Sabean spent nearly three decades in the Giants’ front office and served as the team’s GM during their impressive run of titles in 2010, 2012, and 2014. After a few years with a reduced profile in the Giants organization, he took on the role of executive advisor with the New York Yankees in January.

Sabean’s new gig is likely the reason behind the listing of his five-bedroom, 5.5-bath home in a guard-gated neighborhood. Besides the Bronx, the Yanks keep a strong presence near Tampa, FL, which means much less time in the desert for this baseball exec.

Situated on the town’s north side, the more than 6,200-square-foot property is a Mediterranean dream home with an open floor plan, oak floors, coffered ceilings, and three fireplaces.

A chef’s kitchen features marble surfaces, Shaker-style cabinetry, an eight-burner Wolf range, dual fridges and dishwashers, a walk-in pantry, and a wet bar.

As for the bedrooms, they’re all spacious and have walk-in closets. There’s also a cool office setup with multiple big screens, plus an in-law area with its own kitchenette. But the loveliest retreat is reserved for the owner—a primary bedroom that boasts an ultradeluxe bathroom, complete with marble details, nickel lighting, a steam shower, and a deep soaking tub.

The fun continues outside with a very large living and lounge space, kitchen, and a 65-inch television. Other amenities include a heated pool and spa, a sport court for pickle ball, two fire pits, and a private dog run. Sabean purchased the place for $2.82 million in 2018.

Sabean, 66, began his front-office career back in 1985 with the Yankees, as a scout. He moved to San Francisco in 1993 and became the Giants’ GM in 1997. After a heartbreaking near-miss at a title in 2002, he built the teams that won three World Series titles in five years.
