Oakland Athletics manager Mark Kotsay is selling his enormous Southern California home for the similarly sized sum of $9,875,000.

With the A’s future constantly in flux, the skipper might be keeping an eye on the Las Vegas luxury housing market. Or perhaps he really wants to settle down in the Bay Area suburbs, as he starts his second season at the helm of the perpetually underfunded ballclub?

Either way, he’s ready to bid farewell to his regal residence in Rancho Santa Fe, a tony suburb north of San Diego. Situated on a large lot in a gated community, Kotsay’s massive mansion boasts 13,100 square feet, six bedrooms, and 7.5 bathrooms.

Built a couple decades ago, the Tuscan-inspired dwelling has been recently updated with fresh paint inside and out. Remodeled bathrooms, new lighting, and a kitchen with luxe appliances are just some of the highlights.

The home’s indoor-outdoor charms take full advantage of California’s balmy climate. The main living rooms open onto the inviting patio and yard.

In late 2021, the former outfielder landed the A’s manager job and led the team to a record of 60-102 in 2022.
