Rocker Tommy Lee Attempts Again To Sell His ‘Home Sweet Home’ in Calabasas

Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee is attempting again to spin off his glam rock palace, reprising it for sale at $4,599,000.

The Calabasas, CA, mansion has been on and off the market since 2016, when it was listed for $6 million. If it sells at its current price, it would be a loss for the musician, who paid $5,850,000 for it in 2007.

He also spent remarkable time, effort, and thought turning it into a superlative home for a rock star.

“The home is a special balance of a tropical getaway with creative inspiration. It’s a unique opportunity for the creative lifestyle to balance home and work, all overlooking beautiful city light views,” says listing agent Emil Hartoonian, with The Agency.

“The home hasn’t been updated since it was last listed [in 2021]. We had it leased out for a year, and now back to the market to sell it,” says Hartoonian.

“Being right under 10,000 square feet, this proves the best value in all of Calabasas currently,” Hartoonian adds.

Some of Lee’s flashy additions include a professional recording studio with isolation booths and a control room.

He also outfitted an elaborate home theater with a personal concession bar and wine-tasting room.

There’s also a colorful central atrium featuring tropical plants, a koi pond, spa, and retractable roof.

Even the more common rooms are spectacular. There are six bedrooms and eight baths, every one of them colorful and unique.

The glitzy primary suite is big enough to hold a Yamaha electric grand piano and features a wall of glass doors that open to a pool and spa. There’s an enormous walk-in closet and a luxe bath illuminated by a skylight.

Add to that a spacious kitchen with a large island and stainless-steel appliances, an opulent dining room, and an elegant office with a private terrace.

Lee owns another home in the Los Angeles area. In 2021, he bought a deluxe, 4,266-square-foot home in Brentwood, for $4.15 million.

Lee, 60, is the ex-husband of actress Pamela Anderson. His band has had multiple hits, including “Home Sweet Home,” “Wild Side,” “Shout at the Devil,” “Girls, Girls, Girls,” and “Dr. Feelgood.”
